trappa 518
Had a mint afternoon with my boy crab chinking today. We had a good laugh and chinked a good 20 crabs though we left them, only a couple were takeable and then only borderline, the rest were dog crabs. Nice to teach the boy something, and he took to it like a duck to water, a proper pro in the making! Took a couple of photos at the start, wish id taken more now.

Malt 379
Nice! Did you come across any blue velvet swimming crabs? Nasty little buggers, got to watch your fingers round them!

trappa 518
Its just coercing the crab out of a crevice using a crab hook. You often find the crab snatches at the hook which makes it easier. Real good fun at low tide, kids love it!
Hob&Jill 258
Bet they don't use that term for crabbing around Morecambe bay.
