Are they any good on pre ban rabbits?? Whats there stamina (lasting) like? Just afew things i wanted to know.as iv got an 18month old bitch seems very fast.

Yes I had a bitch bred that way, she stood only 23" TTS, SHE HAD AN AMAZING BURST OF SPEED, and Stamina to go with it, she could hunt off the road No need to walk a field, with her, just get myself into a good position,to see all the action, hunt a field better than a springer spaniel, and that is No boasting, and carry her quarry back up to the van, she was so clever and a great carrier, when she killed in a field surrounded, by sheep netting or pig-wire, she would nose the hare through the wire,

then she would jump the fence herself, and pull the Hare through, and carry her prize back up into the Transit van,, to this day I have not seen her equall, she was deadly, she had done so much running, she become muscle bound on the back legs, she could not walk straight, her back legs used to rock from side to side, she was just a ball of muscle, a mouth like a Viper snake deadly,,, Now for a wee story I wanted to take a pup from her, she never broke down untill she was rising 4 years old,

I had a coursing champion greyhound lined up to line her, it was all agreed, but when she broke the dog was running in the waterloo cup, so the next thing was what do I put across her, My old Late friend Ted Cooper, Had a big ole rough dog it belonged to his father and he swore it was the real deal he orginally hailed from Lincoln, (((( the Fen country,)) he was 7 or 8 year old, (( his words if the dog was a dud would he be hear now????? I agreed so his dog mated, my bitch called Tinker, 7 pups all given to people I knew,,, one pup was Given or sold to a Fella Named Dodds, from Carlisle, unlucky for him he went down for 6 months for GBH,

and his wife sold the pup down into west Cumbria, and that my Friends was the corner stone of your great hunting rabbit strain, that they bellow about on here, the Lurchers down in West cumbria at that time you would have counted on your one hand, ((( trail hounds, and greyhounds and good terriers, but a good Lurcher you could not find,,,, and a bitch that went to an ole friend Jimmy up at Kirkinnear nr stranraer,, he said his pup was a champion of champions, the best dog was the best dog he ever saw run a Hare, his words not mine,,, and he is still going about this day with a couple of Lurchers, in his mid seventies,,,
