Buzzard snatching osprey chick

Recommended Posts

but lab , if they give the green light to shoot them , dont you think it wouldnt be long before they would be only a few left , then they would have to start a programe to re indroduce them :hmm: red kites !! never really used to see them , but there all over now ??

Could easily have a cull period MIck where you could control numbers at certain times. Nobody wants to go Buzzard shooting just a chance to control. You'd have some trouble trying to eradicate the numbers that we have now...

fair comment , a cull would sort it out you think ??

Your never going to stop it mate. The Buzzard is here in large numbers and growing by the year. And lets just say there would be a whole lot more if numbers were left to there own devices. But too be able to control problem birds would be a great start........

Wheres Danw............he'll be out shooting Buzzards no doubt..........f*****g keepers!!!!...

what problems do they cause you tho my pheasent rearing freind :hmm:

if you watch it closely it was not an oppertunistic attack ....you can see the osprey sees the buzzard coming ...then it leaves the nest and when the buzzard lifts the chick you ca n see at the top of

speaking as a man who had birds tied up all day i think most expierenced falconers will tell you the same thing, whilst looking like any other BOP buzzards are infact more akin to rats and cockroache

Just watched it Not surprised in the sightest. This will lead to crys to control them but nothing will happen The facility to control Buzzards has been in place for years, but NO licenses have been

Grouse get shot too, lovely wee bird as well lol. Tracks dug into the hill sides so your fat arses can get carted up, shooting butts dug in, I'm telling you, it's a f*****g disgrace. Us lurcher boys go on and off of land without anyone noticing.

Paulus, I know how the countryside works mate

I dont want to shoot them Mick. If i had a shoot to look after then yes i would like steps put in place so you could legally control them. Just because it doesn't involve me at present doesn't mean i still cant look at the bigger picture for others that will be effected with them....

But why do shooters feel the need to raise tame birds to shoot? I'll tell you why, it's all numbers with you. You'd wipe everything out in a year if you didn't shoot pet birds. I say leave the buzzards alone, it's the shooters that's the real problem.....
