When i had my f a c and sgc interview last friday officer told me i would have to fit seperate safe for shotgun cartriges coz wont be enough room in gun cabinett for all ammo so ive had a look arounf and there not cheap so yu lads think normal safe do or any one know were get them cheap

I got one of the normal metal lockable safes from B&Q and paid thirty odd quid. My FAC Officer was more than happy with it and it does the job for me :thumbs:

Are you sure he wasn't referring to bullets? If you have a standard gun cabinet without a locking internal section then you will either need to replace your gun cabinet to one that has, or the more sensible option would be to buy a separate safe for your fire arms ammo.

 

As already mentioned you do not need to lock away shotgun cartridges you need only store them sensibly.

prob because he think wont have enough room in gun cabinet safe coz put down on form 500 for 22 rimfire and 500 for hmr so he prob think wont fit in top lock box dont know so if i can fit ammo in gun safe cartriges dont have to be locked up

most top boxs will hold 10 times that amount of rimfire ammo :laugh:
