Guest little_lloyd
Greg Night MP for east yorkshire, last week tabled a written question in the house of commons seeking to know from the enviroment minister on an introduction of a close season of shooting hare. If the question gets answered it could indicate lobbying at polictical level for restrictions on hare shooting. Taken from shooting times 17th may 2007 Personly i would agree with a closed season on hare as the numbers are on the decline, dont get me wrong i hunt with a pack of beagles (legally  ) But i would never like to see britains ultimate animal die out! What would your views be on this?? Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
Location location location... Its a trciky one. I'd love to see more hares round my area but i appeaciate that in some areas a close season would be a fricken nightmare as the population is booming. I think a close season is a veiled threat of something more sinister but that may be my cynical side  Quote Link to post
snoopdog 1,256
If the nob head's did not ban hunting with dog's in the first place they would be more hare's about.. as the new method of control with gun's just wipes everything out..Millet i agree totally millet you dont now what you are shooting if its weak old a fit hare . .but with a dog only the strong will live another day .. ......thus keeping a healthy population .....theres plenty of hares round me and as far as i now not shot in big numbers .... :thumbs-up: back to the question of course there should be a closed season on hares ... Hob&Jill 258
Not really sure of my opinion, not really up on it enough. I do know that I would like more hares round here though I have NEVER seen a hare around Surrey, Admitedly I do go looking for them but there arnt many, I can tell you that If it would meen an increase in hare numbers (doubtful) then I would be for it :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post
