cant for the life of me why in this climate why any one would want to go back to a grey with a f1 dh xs. lifes a mystery .atb bunnys.

To bring the average size down, with deerhound x greyhound, put it to a good lurcher, preferably with a bit of collie in it, these will be much more versatile than ANY three quarter bred

Why will putting a greyhound over a first cross bring the size down? Some 1st crosses are 25 - 26 so a greyhound would make them bigger in some cases.   And if you need to increase the speed you are

maybe to reduce size a wee bit or to increase agility or tighten up conformation and feet or make them faster with better early pace etc could go on, no mystery here

well to if one needs to reduce size tighten them has one puts it , why not go back tio a f1 deerhound x grey wioth the need to reduce the chances of losing the qualitys of the xs . wind brain hardyness durability feet the f1s bred from quality

stock will and should have tremendiuos foot structure , some would be better with a straight grey because baring for the odd uns with a slight broken coat the majority will be just that , atb bunnys.

And if you need to increase the speed you are either a racing man or you have the wrong first x in the first place! The ones I've seen are plenty quick enough , I wouldn't have a 3 quater breed.

asha off here put his f1 deer/grey to a grey an i got dog pup out litter, he is 32 an 1/2 ats noo, so the idea of fetching size down aint exactly right, i agree way bunnys on this one, id deffo have a f1 to a coursng bred dog next time if at all, i find that altho 3/4 breds are nice fast handy dogs to have around, i have seen too many lack wind an not be able to keep up when hard at it, im sure there will be 3/4 breds out there that can, but most i have seen cant, an i dont mean just the 3.4 grey an 1/4 deer i mean anything being the 1/4 ;)

Its possibly not so mysterious to others, especially the owners that know how to get the best out of the breed, even in this political climate.
