tegater 789
Just booked a week away with the family staying in a cottage at Narberth, Pembrokeshire, and other than what I can see on the internet, I just wondered what its like, from those of you that live there or have holidayed there. I know it has some spectacular coastal scenery, and have seen decent pics that Malt and a couple of others have put up before, but where in your opinions are the best bits of the coast for scenery, walks with the family and dog, possibly a bit of fishing of the shore. Thanks in advance.
Malt 379
Tenby is only a stone's throw away from Narberth, plenty of nice scenery, beaches and fishing there. I know a few decent spots about the place there, what type of fishing are you planning on doing? Beach, rocks, pier, etc. Loads and loads of fantastic views from the coast path, it's high in places but if you keep the dogs on a lead and you're eye on any kids, it's safe enough. Saundersfoot is also nice little village to visit, it's on the way to Tenby from Narberth. There's a fantastic walk from the main village along the coast to a place called Wiseman's bridge, about a mile or so in length. It follows a route that the old trains used to take coal to the harbour from the local mines, so it's flat all the way and goes through a few old tunnels. There's a nice pub when you get there if you fancy a meal or just a pint before you head back. Some of the North Beach in Tenby: Also what other type of things are you planing on doing? I lived and worked in that area for over 20 years off and on, if there's anything you'd like to know just drop me a PM or ask here.

fireman 11,383
Up towards St Davids is also cracking but do take a lead for the dog as that coastal path is not a place for a run around dog mate, buster try down on the foot bridge in Cardigan on a low tide.Mental bass underneath it at times and a free lined sand eel or crab bait caught me my pb from there.I lived that way before i moved to Norfolk and i used to fish 3-5 days a week there it was so good, now i go out maybe 3-5 times a year to the brown featureless puddle thats the north sea.Have fun fella's. SportingShooter 0
Narberth is a pretty little town. A distinct old market town with a square and independent shops/cafes. As you can see from Mal's posts and pics, there are some lovely places to visit around the coastline. Bosherston lily ponds is another spectacular sight. Several lakes fully of lily pads which is just along the coast from the Tenby/Manorbier area. St. Davids is another place I would go and visit, the coastline out towards a little place called St. Justinian near there is spectacular with the views of the offshore islands.
