FA cup final predictions???

todays the day of the biggest game in club football the world over :yes: and proud to say my teams in it :boogy: whats your score predictions???? im going 2-1 liverpool :toast:

 

makes me laugh how Europe is the priority....unless you can't qualify......and then the FA cup final is the biggest game in club football, as long as Liverpool are in it obviously. (Bigger than the champions league final??? really???)

id say it is mate and europe is already in the bag for us next year

Id say it probably is for many English people.....without doubt the Champions League is the biggest final for the clubs due to finances......but i think the Fa cup is the peoples tournament and it has far more history and meaning to the average man in the street......the Fa cup has a magic feeling about it,what other trophy in world football can a non league side win......32 years ago my club won the Fa cup from the old second division and were the last club to do so.... i remember every single thing about the day like it was yesterday....ok thats probably because we,ve won f**k all since but i still think the fact literally any club can win the Fa cup gives it that little bit more character and depth of feeling than the Champions league ever could.....only my feelings of course and im sure if you follow the big clubs you just get swallowed up in the whole Europe thing.....but then money usually ruins most good things and this is no different.

I know what you're saying, but finances aside surely the champions league has got to be viewed as the biggest prize simply because it's the hardest one to win....to win it theoretically you've got to beat the best clubs in Europe rather than just England/Wales?

 

My point was really that the FA Cup (in relatively recent years) has often been viewed as not that important by some of the bigger clubs....unless they're potentially going to win it and they can't win anything better (i.e. the league or a European trophy) then their views change completely. To be fair to Liverpool though, United/Fergusson are by far the worst culprits for that!

To me the F.A. Cup final was THE GAME ..... Now though i think the emphasis is all based round Europe (money) ,,, "The Champions League" , thats a laugh , finish 4th and you Qualify , The Magic off the F.A. Cup for me has gone and i think The F.A. have treated there show piece terrible , 5.15 kick off and other games on the same day , great day for the fans who's team get there but not the show piece it once was for me !

If its any consolation (and it probably isnt right now) but Carroll was imense why cant he do that week in week out for yous , if he could get to that level every week Liverpool would be very hard to beat !

Hopefully he will be like that next season but we will have to wait and see, he has been getting better the last few week's, finally settling in.
