my earlier tests (about 10 year odd ago) showed LED's were pap with IR filters on. but.. that was then and CREE's are now lol. (i'll try it out when i find the filters).

there has to be a part of the light spectrum with IR wave legnth in it, most of the earlier stuff was a pure 600k light or what ever, i.e. only one wave legnth, and non of the 850 Nm part. (the filter blocks all other, not converts it into).

Try Maplin Electronics.

They have a web site.

why? ripped off and a luvly after sales service that rhymes with f.e.ckoffsky? reallly bad firm, bar the odd sale or being so desperate you dont care. their moto should be ''why pay less for more..when you could pay more for less''

the local branch has this help desk, it's purpose is to shift what ever theyre 'pushing' this week, cid, joe or mindy will be in on wednesday, they know alla about it.. go in on wednesday and oh you missed them yesterdat, tomorrow or what ever day you wernt in..

next is, employee;s will disapeer if caught helping truthfully... but only 6 peopke on the trot to my knowladge.

lastly though, in all fairness, thery are good with orders, and do ring you when it comes in....

personaly, based on personal dealing and knowing the difference.... theyre T..W..A..T.s in general with the odd person worth bothering with, alias the disapeered.

truth of the matter is, can you get them things from any where else? if the answer is yes then do so. if its no...my condolences.
