obi2 241
Anybody use one of these for rough shooting? If so what are they like? Quote Link to post
Clare 33
used to be one on a shoot I was one, great hunter but once it got its nose down it was off, I know someone else who works and breeds them and there a great I think its more what experience you have training and working gundogs I would recommend them as first or second gundog! if your rough shooting you would be better off with a lab or cocker Quote Link to post
stroller 341
pointers can be hard work and not as easy to train as labs, but of the hpr breeds the vizsla is perhaps the least headstrong. If they atre brought up well they do a very good job at least i hope so as i am getting my wirehaired vizsla pup in a fortnight. I know the sire of this pup quite well and he is a great dog and the kennel (Gonegos)he is from is full of excellent working dogs. The bitch isnt worked but her parents are so im hoping for the best and that im up to the job. Quote Link to post
BellySlater 15
I have a HWV from the Gonegos kennels - best dog in the beating line, picking up and to go shooting with. Got to be a contender for best "all round gun dog" (Just hope you can put up with the whining ) Quote Link to post
