Rat catcher or king ratcatcher are they any good

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if these rifles are any good, all I want to do is shoot rats in buildings, every year I get small influx of rats, so didnt want to spend too much, some people say they are ok others say not I havnt owned an airgun for years so I thought I would ask for advice on the forum,I would want to silence it if possible,so I am wanting to know are they powerfull enough to do the job, which one is best, or should I scrap the idea and get something else,

Can anyone advice please

They can be great little guns if used correctly. The ferals in this pictures were knocked down out of farm building roofs with the king ratty in the picture with no damage at all to the roof:

If you understand and accept its limitations it can be a useful little tool.

Have got a rat catcher never had any probs with it if you maintain . Does what it says and you can pick one up quite cheap they are cheap and cheerful and you won't worry about throwing it about the only annoying thing is the c02 capsules only last 20 to 30 shots but you can pick them up for about 50 to 75p . Hope this helps

Thats important to me I don't want to do any damage , I have both 17 hmr and 22 rim fire for anything out side the building, it purely is for inside use, close up 15 mtr ish What kind of ft/pound pressure do they produce and are they quiet
