It's taken them 10 years to find out they can't give it what it needs

 

and some helmet has asked if it has any "health needs"....a 10 years old alsation??? that'd be like asking a 75 year old if they're likely to have any ailments in the next decade.....erm, highly likely yes!!!!

I bet they are too frightened to do that Scott..that will probably why they are passing it on..i have seen it happen in the lurcher rescue centre..where the owner's have openly admitted they are too scared to get there dog's put to sleep so they rehome them at a late age..pretty shit if you ask me especially if the dog has been with that owner all it's life..

that doesn't surprise me in the slightest, if you're too pathetically weak to handle the death of a pet then you shouldn't have them to begin with, simple as that!

Prob right millet. it's a hard thing to do but it has to be done some day. We all have done it and ain't ashamed to say its the hardest thing I have ever had to do. More so my last lurcher bitch. She was 16 when I got her PTS

I seen that and also the one where the lad is giving his two lurcher's away free most probably because the season is over..and he will just buy some more when it start's up again.

I have lost several dog's over the year's and it is hard to deal with and each time it never get's easier..but i would never hesitate to have another put to sleep in the future if they suffered..for me it would be a lot harder passing a old adult dog on than having them PTS..

My feelings exactly mate. Her mind was still strong but the body was done in. That nadevircall the more hard cause I knew in her mind she still had her wits about her. But like unsaid no control of her bowels. The vet said we could put her on medication. However I just see that as prolonging the inevitable.

my old mastiff was the same, completely f'cked with kidney failure and when I walked in the room he kept lifting his head and giving me the "are we going for a walk?" look....proper heart breaking but as soon as I knew there was no chance of recovery I had to get him PTS, awful times but all dog owners know that day will come one day, it's one of those things you can't avoid.....or it appears you can via facebook if you're a spineless twat!
