i found the sows and pigletts were quite tollerent i use to feed them however the boar of the group is another matter and fast tree climbing skills came in handy on more than one occasion

You are dead right there Paulus - they are incredibly intelligent animals, and learn quite quickly if you mean harm or not. So after a few times chucking food to the sows, they start to come in when they see you, and the piglets learn from their mums. However just like crows, if you raise a gun or a stick like a gun, they run like f**k, same if they see the dog (the little ones). Also quite right about the big males, they are just naty b*****ds and yup, they have had me up a tree a few times.

Sorley - few months mate

Good mothers are rearers - once the young survive the first few weeks, they usually all make it to adult hood, a long as some nasty hunter doesnt get them :whistling:

And donk is right, them and the fallow are rife!

Amazing taste to eat you cannot compare farm wild boar to true wild boar most of the shop sold wild boar is infact reared wild boar.

I get some of our game dealer where it comes from the forset of dean heard on the grapevine that the forestery commison are planning cull all the wild boar in the forest.

If you not tried it try it you will not be dissapointed ATB Cookie
