travelling with ferrets

Does anyone have any idea about what kind of documents are needed for travelling with ferrets? A Bulgarian friend is interested in taking some home with him, travelling by car not plane.

im quite shure you dont need anything to leave our country,,, weather he needs anything in to enter hids country ive no idea..

about 50 years ago me and a mate ferreted a farm at Aslockton, close to Bingham ,my mate had been a guest there for six months and knew all the staff, but the ferrets and kit all had to go through security i don't know if that farm is still there ,but we freed a few rabbits that day

here is a link for the pet passport shceam,,,, i think he will need to find out whats is needed in bulgeria,,, cos it appears when reading this,, that its when you come in to the uk ,, is when you need the passport,,

I can confirm that cos I took my dog to Europe a couple of months ago, they only need to see the docs when you're coming back into the UK. The rules are the same for dogs, cats and ferrets
