..has any one ever used a Ferret Locator on a terrier? Me and my brother were talking about this earlier, as the ferret locators are cheaper.

 

Whats the difference? Excuse my naivety.

Only difference is the collar size and in some cases the depth it goes to. I use my mk3 on my terrier coz the transmitter just slides off the ferret strap and onto the terrier strap.

i have......., with the old type of collar from the mark 1, we just layed the ferret collar on top of a normal terrier sized collar and taped the whole collar to the terrier collar, with the newer type mark 3 which comes with a nylon type collar, you can buy spare nylon collars to fit a terrier, so i got myself 2 different sized collars and just took the transmitter off one collar and put it on the other, depending on which i needed to use, hope this makes sense........

yes, fitst time i ever saw a terrier to ground with a locator on.

mark1 stitched on to a leather dog collar

we used to tape them to the dogs collar

Used to tae as well, that carpet fitters/nylon bound with glue residue tape works a treat.

Gaffer tape i think its called.
