i'm thinking of sorting out a better camera. its for general photography. outdoors mainly. i'm not loaded so will just be wanting one body and an all purpose lense to start with. what would be a good combination. any advice would be very welcome.

and for the sake of conversation what are you all using. and what would you like to get next :D

not sure if im the best person to answer you  but i know for definate its the lense that makes the difference not the camera body  i went for a 70 to 300 :laugh: carnt believe im giving advice on photography

Well, you gave two bits of advice, and both bits are correct. The zoom lens really does depend on what you want to do with it, but if you can live without wideangle then the 70 to 300 is good.

I myself use a Nikon, with a general purpose zoom of 18-200, among others.
