lksopener 105
Hi Guys, Took the plunge and bought myself some snares a while back but they have been sat in the shed for a good few months. Anyhow, seeing them one afternoon a week or so ago jogged my memory and i thought i would get out and set a few. I was a little more confident after watching woodga's dvd and speaking to MR TEAPOT off here as they both gave sound advice. Anyway i set 20 (All i have currently) and ended up with 3. One was taken by the fox. I pulled my snares after the first night as the snow was due. This was my first ever snared rabbit so pleased as punch! All the best lads, remember they won't catch while there hung up in the shed! Liam 1 Quote Link to post
killbilly 17
Well done - snaring can have a sharp learning curve with many thrills and spills along the way to being as good as some of the pros on here. You will have frustrating days too but look on them as a lesson on the path to improving your skills to the level that you want. 1 Quote Link to post
woodga 170
I still get a buzz when im setting a location and the expectancy of the catch in the morning still gives me sleepless nights and thats after many thousands of rabbits . i also enjoy showing a newbie the ropes and helping them gain a bit of confidence .l so your first is a milestone i hope you have many more to come good hunting 2 Quote Link to post
