false marking

went out today with my 2 beagle x terrier and my sheepdog.only problem we had was 3 dogs false marked nearly every bury we done and i don't know why they did it today.not done it before but we did end the day with 2 and i am not very happy. :censored: :censored: beagle xs are 2 and sheepdog is 4 yrs old.

Friday the lurcher was passing burrows and i dropped a ferret in one and a rabbit bolted , her name was mud but thats the first time shes no marked a burrow . Same thing weather conditions ??

i suppose its how your dog marks, my dog will sent the berry 1st, if there are rabbits at home he will try to dig or pull up the turf. Now this is a 100% mark, and he as never let me down yet, marked 16 rabbits last week from each of his marks. If he dont do is( party pieces) lol , they aint no rabbits there . I know some dogs (dont) do what Bryn does , and some will mark with quick look or just stand still . I know i am very lucky to have a dog with a (obvious) mark like Bryns, as it really does make ferreting that much eaiser . :yes:
