Guest Nic
Thanks, I will check that out; also I was looking into the Innotek IUT-300 and FS-15 or Tri-tronics Sprotbasic G3 as well. Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Tri-tronics and dogtra and probably the best for the money... Quote Link to post

Guest Nic
just out of intrest what are you trying to train it to do/not do? wink More so trying to get her to come when called to. We have tried everything, she does fine inside the house but once outside forget it. I fear her running into the road and becoming roadkill. Quote Link to post
Ossie 11
just out of intrest what are you trying to train it to do/not do? wink More so trying to get her to come when called to. We have tried everything, she does fine inside the house but once outside forget it. I fear her running into the road and becoming roadkill. i had exactly the same problem with my lurcher, buggering off & not coming back when called. i got an electric collar for him, and he's so much better now, he's almost a different dog. one word of warning - don't rush it. let the dog wear the collar for a few days before you turn it on & use it. that way the dog doesn't associate the collar with the shock. with my boy, he wore the collar for a day before it was turned on (a necessity, as he had taken to sodding off next door & scaring the living daylights out of their hens), so now i'm not sure if he associates the collar with the shock or not... which means it'll be a lot longer before we can stop using it. the longer you can leave the collar on the dog before actually using it, the better Quote Link to post
