The tune makes a very good rifle a fantastic rifle.

 

Im speaking from someone who as lots of experience in this subject.

 

I would get it tuned if you have the funds.

 

Try Sandwell Field Sports and ask to speak to a man called Tony Wall.

I dare say that any (new) springer will generally benefit from a tune, as it will from a simple strip-degrease-polish-relube session. They (HW springers) usually come with a chopped main spring you know, and I'm talking from personal experience. They also tend to diesel. My advice would be to chrono the gun first to see how consistent it is.

 

A cheap option is to get a V-Mach kit or equivalent, and do the work yourself, which is easy if you are an even mildly handy person.

Plenty of guides on this subject are available online if you google it.

 

I have tuned all my springers (HW77-80-97 and AA ProSport) and would certainly do it again.
