liongeorge 7
Every year I do a demo for our local cubs and scouts. Take the ferrets , nets, locater , dog etc along and show them what its all about including skinning rabbits. I also take some rabbit curry/stew that my missus makes so they can try it. It is always a popular night for the kids and a bit of an eye opener for the more towny types who normally spend their lives infrot of a screen. This year its slightly different as it is combined with thier winter camp and they want to cook the rabbit at the camp fire. I've not every done this , is it any good on a spit type of thing or am I best chucking it in a pot to make more of a stew? Any help appreciated.... George Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
i would say stew, a spit would dry out the meat as there is not a lot of fat on the meat and the heat would make it dry and unappetising, a nice stew will be as tender as owt Quote Link to post
The one 8,594
Par boil it remove the meat from the bones roll it in bread crumbs and fry it ,They will think its KFC Just stewing its a easy option Quote Link to post
Westy76 546
BBQ it mate, the spit thing is ok but it takes a bit of time.I'd butcher it up into portions BBQ it and voila theyll love it or failing that make rabbit burgers who don't like them!! Quote Link to post
