a few pics of my new nets

heres a few pics of my new nets i made today

 

i baught some nice red spun and its a treat to work with. i use sliders and then normally tied to a ring at other end but i also tried using a differnt design today(ill prob just stick to the ring on one end and the slider on the other tho as there isnt really much benifit that i can see of it, its just somthink different.)

 

im useing a 2 1/8 inch spacer, to make 4 1/4 inch mesh to give that little extra for when the ferrets are passing through the nets. well thats the theory,

Never used sliders,are you using them because you think they are better than rings?

wre did you get the red spun from mate? bought some back in the midland think it was and am just coming to the end of it. been using the red nets all season and there grat, no tangleing and ball the bunnys up a treat. think it was off bridport but thats 11 quid plus p+p. just wondering if you found it cheaper? i just got a board inbetween 2 inch and 2 1/4 as i was finding some rabbits were getting abit more than there head out, but will test them size nets out next season. but that no doubt because of my net making skills or the lack of the red allso comes in black ^_^ thats what i used first and thats good, just the red makes them easyer too see when picking up.

 

them orange ones you did for me chief, found they tangle a bit too much. looks like the same sort of material that i had off gj. not as bad as 4z but most of the places we do have plenty of crap lying round the holes.

that red spun makes a nice net.doesnt the wire bend with i only being 2mm thick thats why i choose to make them the way g.s.waters makes them.

 

 

that new design looked abit of a mission,ring on one end and slider on the other works perfectly fine and the sliders are much cheaper than rings even if you buy the wire.nice one mate

i am also going to make my sliders like g.s waters aswell i just had a look to see how these ones turned out but im sticking with the normal slider and a normal ring on tother end

the easier way is to speak to THE BIG FISH pay him and he will make them for you .....

Get a 2 1/4" mesh board made . And I would'nt bother with sliders , they won't do anything better than what a quality nickel plated ring will do .
