falcongit 242 Posted January 14, 2012 Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 it was cold this morning white over with frost i must be mad going out in extreme cold tempertures only jokeing its good to get out in all weathers keeps you fit and active to,anyway got my rifle set up with a bit of plinking rifle was spot on,started walking round the headland,the ground was that hard you could hear my footsteps from a mile away,i spoted a hare but it was on across the other side of the field ,so i went back the way i came so the did not see me comeing, i was getting closer to the hare and then it decided to move to the other side ,i watched to see where it was going out the corner of my eye i spotted a fox looked like he had the same idea as me but the fox went straight past the hare within a few feet now either the fox had allready had breakfast i dont no but lucky for me,i got level with it and the hare had stopped,so i decided to walk across the middle of the field instead of going all the way round the field again, the only thing i had going for me was the sun was behine me i started walking slowly across the field god it was along way i got to about yards of it then got down on my belly and started to crawl closer god the bloody groung was rock hard i could feel every bump stone god it was painfull, anyway i got to within range to take a shot,and after all the pain on my legs and arms i got my quarry thank f-ck .i put 2 pics on the second one you can see where i walk and then got down to get my quarry as you can see it was along way. i hope you enjoy the read. cheers symon Quote Link to post
