gnasher16 31,602 Posted January 12, 2012 Report Share Posted January 12, 2012 Years ago money would mean a fight like this would have to happen......today fighters like Mayweather and Paquiao are happy to wave goodbye to millions just to save their credibility........they are already extremely rich young men why risk it....... dont fall into thinking there advisors wont have spoken about it in depth behind the scenes its not like 1 manager phones the other and they decide yes or no like it was years ago.......they will have discussed the ins and outs of this over the last few years,the fact it hasnt happened suggests neither really wants it......If Mayweather has publically called him out then you can bet somethings gone on behind the scenes to upset the apple cart so to speak. Personally i would think Paquiao wants/needs the fight less than Mayweather hence maybe his decision to turn it down. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
