Big Ultra basically, nice rifle, I just hate MMC (micro movement cocking). Decent enough rifle, accurate, some available from a certain Mr Bowkett I believe, so if looking try looking there first!

Is it the single or mult shot?

i know someone who had the hornet when it first came out, and it had leaks regular, and ended up selling it, other than that never seen one since

From what i remember when i was at Simon Howarths workshop with LJ he said it was a very nice and accurate rifle giving plenty of shots per charge. He rated it very highly himself and if anyone knows his BSA's it would be Simon (Tench).

The Hornets were one of the best production rifles BSA have ever made, even with the regulator removed the earlier valving was very efficient (everything the new SE is hoping to be, but not there yet!)

 

The one Shay had was one I Tench regulated for him, Accurate as hell! I wish he never prised it out of my hands!
