A trip with the shotgun,a much needed time out

Well after having one of the worst xmas and new years ever,my mum was rushed into hospital on xmas eve with a lung infection which was not helped by her bad astma,so after spending every day up at the hospital,though i must admit there was some pretty young nurses , i decide a quick trip out was in order so i got the shotgun out and a ferret and went for a wander,just sticking to little setts.Got to the field did the first couple of setts nothing,still it was good to be out,on to the next sett ferret in and waited 5 mins three rabbit bolted at the same time didnt know which one to go for,its all new to me this bolting to the gun this is my second time,so by the time i made me mind up which on to go for they had all vanished .Bloody hell,i thought so on to the next sett 3 holes this time ferret in within seconds rabbit out and bang he was mine .Time was getting on had to go up hospital again so headed back to the car on the way i found about 20 bluelegs so picked as much as i could carry,ill be back for the rest later.So not a big bag but boy it was great to be out.
