Eggy 0
I Used to eat it a lot and it's very tasty! The nicest way is & raw (lightly smoked) dry-cured & and sliced for on bread: Available in any supermarket but never as good as the horse-butcher (becoming more rare in holland), this one is in Utrecht: Cheers Eggy
skycat 6,174
Used to get it from a knacker's yard for the dogs, but they used to chuck in the fillets for us as long as it hadn't been medicated or whatever first. Bloody delicious: I always used to say that once you'd had horse steak then beef would pale into a dim memory: far far tastier and tenderer (even old ones) than beef.
