Hi does any one remember the old Sharp Ace pump up air rifle if you do can you help me please

i have one and im trying to get scope mounts to fit it but finding it really hard as the scope rail is set on the barrel its self and not on a scope rail

so the mounts i have tried dont fit due to the roundness of the barrel and just rock on the top, it needs to have mounts i think that have some form of arch or gap so they can fit over the top of the barrel the rifle is lovely but i cant use it with out the scope

was these a special scope mount made by sharp in the early days, can i still get a pair or am i just keeping a choclate fire gaurd now  thanks folks

regards openseason

had both guns and didnt seem to have problems with scopes mate try differant mounts as there cheap and try a gunsmith. be carefull as you can actually damage the gun breaking it away from the scope mounts seen it happen also the guns are the same except the stock. and if the seals go you can use various others if you go to a company that sells seals as thats what i did especially heat resitent ones. there are still a few guns out there and a guy in lancashire used to have tons of parts mail order if you modify iy be carefull as you can actually damage the pumping arm bending it by over pumping. my advice shop around you will find mounts or may have to trade in old scope get on the internet.

as i have just done here they are you lazy bstrd.lol

no worries its because the groove is part of the barrel design that causes the problem they should be able to sort it out . correction the innova mounted over the breech but they are identical guns

Hi

I just had a l;ook through the Sportsmatch range and none of them look as though they'll fit the Ace :hmm:

Here's a pic of my Sharps Ace mounts and you'll see what I mean

They're rounded out so that they will sit on the small diameter breech block, trouble is, I don't know what make mine are :icon_redface:

Good luck finding some
