NEWKID 28,426
What a great sight that would be, Seen dolphins and porpoise quite a few times out fishing, was fishing the rocks below the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno and saw a huge fin coming closer and closer, a basking shark cruised right under us was an awsome sight. NEWKID 28,426
It seemed like there was at least a couple of hundred there. Seen over a hundred spinner dolphin in the straits of bohol years ago malt, incredible acrobatics,if ever your in Gibraltar take your kids out on one of the two dolphin-tours,my mate works for the boat with the yellow T-shirts,the kids will love it,you see dozens, sunfish, always the chance of a whale, sometimes a turtle,it costs about £20? Swam with wild loggerhead turtles when I was in Zante/Zakynthos when I was 18. Huge fecking things when you're swimming a few feet away from them! Spent ages on one of the nesting beaches in Zante trying to catch a glimpse of a turtle, was in the water with mask and snorkle for hours and didn't hardly see a fish let alone a turtle........... a few years later swam with them in Barbados we had some great snorkling there also St Lucia where we saw eagle rays whilst snorkling and a lot of turtles...... a friend of mine is a dive instuctor he has dived all over the world, he skippers a super yaucht in Monaco now, lucky b*****d..... he has an unbelievable photo album. mackem 29,522
The only turtles I have seen swimming in the wild were hawksbills, but I have seen loads of them, you can actually buy them alive, the last time I was offered one it was maybe £2 for the shell? They make combs and guitar-bodies from them, wander around any Badjao village and they have bleached shells in the most unlikely places
