After yesterdays scout round on another perm with 10 in the bag for alot of work.

Tried some fresh ground with good signs for the future when the nettles die down.

First bury over 100 holes all on the thames flood plane .

Normaly wet the bury was at the egde of a old pond with willows but due to hundreds of years of flooding the ground is shingle nice easy digging for the coney.

So 10 ferts in two quick coneys in the bag we moved along the bank and finnish the bury with 6 in the bag and losing 4 due to the overgrowth and the good old rusty bared wire dug into the ground though nearly ever hole making pursing of the nets diffcult.

Still pushed on to the next two hole bury two jills in wack 3 quick coneys strange how a 100 hole bury yields 10 rabbits yet a two holer has 3 in it .

Still we have alot of cover crops and as the weather so mild I think alot are on top of the ground.

Round the corner to old wharf bank working our way up the ditch we ecounted for a further 7 with a few slipping the nets and dog as the hedge has been flailed so the ditch was covered in blackthorn shreddings great.

Still the ground looks like going to produce a fair head of coneys over the coming weeks not been ferreted before or lamped .

Heres a couple of pics cheers Cookie

Red at the end of the day sadly he has got a huge mouth cancer and looks like we may have only to xmas before we have to make the best for him and have him put to sleep.
