the art of calling the brown hare

i have been calling hares for years using a jonny stewart pc3, i call them at night and early mornings , what call do other people prefer

Never called hares before, but am very interested in hearing more about it. What is the best way to call them, and early or late in season? Or does that not matter?

ive only ever seen it dun once on the lamp i was new to lamping then most impressed the old guy that did it is no longer with us RIP joe poker, Joe taught me all my field craft, i was a unruly teenager but joe showed me the error of my ways.

yes you can call hares in all year round ,when you are blowing the call if you can imagine a hare in distress that is what you need to make the call sound like ,i think hares come in because they think another hare is in distress ,i have called hares in to at least 2-3 yards and they can be called in day or night ,i found it best when the wind is quite strong ,find a nice gap in a hedge quite concealed then start calling
