Cracking fish there mate. Good to see the bigger fish moving in. I fished under the bridge on the slip a few weeks ago had a few small codling.

good fishing caut hundreds of cod over years but only managed 12 pounder , cant beat a bit of cod bashing dunbar north berwick berwick on tweed all good areas for cod, codling ,certain times and years , all the best

Used to fish just south of there as a kid,always used to get reddish coloured codling,we used to call them kelp cod because they werent as golden as the ones we got off sunderland or hartlepool

ye its just the iodine of the kelp or die called them red cod , rock cod , you get a fare few in the creels early on in the season had some crackers up to 8 pound , alive and kicking , had a sole this year in creel , had wolfish, conger, wrasse ,pollack ,ling ,good grub if there living , if there dead good bait ,berwick fishes well through summer dunbar the same and north berwick a bit more patchy unless you have a good tide , as you need to cover the land as its sheltred love the fishing creeling just another form of hunting ,brought up 100 yards from shore since a small kid seas got laws to but well its abig place as they say in some areas

thats a boster mate ,ive fished for yrs between the bridges and never managed one like that,had a good bass of 10lb so that makes up for it.well done pal..................steve
