geuss thats the chance you take with any saluki cross, some line bred and first crossers are slow i think its were you run them early on that makes the difference, small headgy land and they no they got to kill em quick, fen land they no they got more time etc.

20 odd years ago a lot of saluki xs was a bout some was bangers most was judge to quick compared to other crosses i add three quter greyhound quater saluki x pure saluki and belive me they was the most sportin dogs we add for a long time they killed plenty of hares round crowland and deepin fens boston and they didnt look out of place when we run em round diss on the small feilds plus they would drain a battey on the lamp

my mate had a 3/4 grey 1/4 sal and its the best dog ive seen run hares on moor or grass and was a demon on foxes/deer all pre ban as it was about 15 yrs ago ,he bred off it and keep one pup which he later sold so never saw it run ,then he sold the bitch when in season and got alot of money for it ,and the stupid lad ran it and smashed its legs up 1st night he had it out ,what a waste and put it down,he also had a 3/4 sal 1/4 grey bought it as a day time dog as this was very different, very sluggish and not at all nimble in the turn so two different types and two different styles

i only really run daytime and i dont like real fast types as local ive seen them get smashed up round cover, fences ect, i want this lining for fen type dogs that can stay and i want to keep the line more on the pure side with this bitch as ive got merlin n eve line bred dogs aswell going back to jamies jack and dan mostly
