spartan_ferret 6
well was out sunday and I put a hob and jill down a hole and one rabbit surfaced. after about 20mins no sign of the pugs so i put the locator on and started to dig them out they were both in the same place so thought they might have a rabbit down there. I first got the hob out and then the jill but there was no rabbit so i dug a little more and still couldn't find anything. There was fur in the pipe and some on the claws off the pugs but no blood around their mouths, thought they might have gone to sleep down there but they have never done it before and why would they lay up in the same place? If any one got any ideas what they might be doing down there please let me know Quote Link to post
muddy210 34
ferret gets interested in the hole you have just dug and moves away from the rabbit a bit so much so that you cannot get a hold on it or feel it in the pipe Quote Link to post
darbo 4,779
cut a decent length bramble. trim off were you are going to hold it. put down the tube twist round see if any fleck is on it. give you a idea were the rabbit is. thats if they have killed it. Quote Link to post
The one 8,598
I think the rabbit was in a dead end and youv'e blocked the burrow when you broke threw ,if you had of pushed about at the bottom of the hole you dug you would of got the rabbit , If your unsure drop a ferret back down the hole and watch what it does and which way it goes 1 Quote Link to post
