vduben 55
my runs have 18 x 18 x 24 inch boxes in them for single terriers to sleep in, i want to rigg some kind of heating up for them this winter on a timer switch just to take the chill off during the deep of the night, there is no room for a heat lamp but i was thinking of using a 60w, 12 inch tubular heater in side the box, whats every ones opinion? im not 100% on using one regards ben
Tuzo 251
Should be fine as long as there is nothing the dog can chew on.....a wire mesh cover could be useful

EDDY PLENTUS 4
ive just asked a pal ov mine same thing, he has done it for years, put a heat mat in the bottom ov box and cover it with very thin ply wood then put whatever bedding you use on top, plywood stops dog from scratching and puncturing mat, he said they cost 1p per hour, may sound xpensive but well worth it for good dogs, mats come in differant sizes, dont know prises for them yet. EDDY PLENTUS 4
your dogs can always jump out of box pal but my mate has never had any probs and he uses them every year.
