Swampy 147
"For bitter jealous old women with no real interest in the game i guess these are hard times....for us who love watching and supporting our clubs, these are great times....." Jealous?! I don't think so. There are very few footballers out there today that I would be happy to see my son idolise. Spoilt ignorant and ruined by money is not a good combination to become a role model, regardless of their talent. But if what you say is true then what difference does the name of a stadium make? And if by changing the name of a stadium you can have another "big name " footballer to watch. It's his stadium after all. Its just the same as changing the name of a house or a pub. No biggy rgds Swampy rationalning I couldnt care less what he does with his ground,as you rightly say its his to do whatever he likes with.......what i can never understand is why people like you even care.....you have no interest in what happens on a football pitch and hate everything about what happens off it....so what difference does it make to you !......when folk are obssessive over the money involved in something they have no interest in its usually a good indicator of a touch of jealousy................spoilt and ignorant just how many of these lads do you personally know ?.....im sure theres some decent lads playing premiership football but you clearly choose to focus on the ones making negative newspaper headlines......maybe you should try watching more football and reading less newspapers ! Oh how very wrong. no matter. Read the papers!? Obsessive? Spoilt? How many do I know? None. I have met quite a few though and I certainly wouldn't put any of them on my Christmas card list. I'm sure there are some decent lads out there there are always the exceptions to the rule. however if football was serious about cleaning up its act then perhaps they would focus on those that are decent. It would appear though that the general public relish the negative and shun the positive I choose however not to idolise adulterous rapists who buy thier way out of trouble. I certainly wouldn't want to wear a football shirt with their name on the back and the advertising of some foreign company and pay £50 for the privilige! Glad you agree that its his club so he can call it want he likes though. You're right I don't "care" but i do have an opinion which is what "forums are about". And because I have one that perhaps differs from yours it makes me spoilt, obsessive jealous, and an old woman? Perhaps my opinion is closer to the mark that I first thought......The fans of football would appear to be aping their heroes on the pitch.....No pun intended Rgds Swampy Sir Bobby Moorening.
