Liger! (Lion x Tiger!)

should,nt be messing about with species breeding

are you working a wolf then? last time I checked lurchers wouldn't have occurred without humans messing about with species! :hmm:

Wolves were domesticated for a reason and the reason was as companions and to do jobs people couldn't were as crossing tigers and lions doesn't have a purpose there is no need for it just creates unhealthy animals that have no real purpose to humans

Just my opinion though

yeah I know what you're saying....the debate could go on forever though I suppose....it's like saying we shouldn't mess with nature, unless it suits us! which I suppose is exactly what happens.

Personally, I don't really see a big issue with it in this case, they'd be crossing cats in captivity any way, and this is just a variation. As malt said, if they lived in the same habitat it would probably occur naturally anyway. I don't think they're unhealthy are they? I thought it just said if it was wild it wouldn't be able to catch enough meat to sustain itself due to its size?

lol it could go on forever I understand what your saying if they were in the same habitat than they would breed and the offspring would struggle to catch food and survive as said because of it's size ect but I suppose it doesn't affect us really but I would like to see ligers in the wild to see how they hunt as they would have to adapt and change their style to suit there abillities it would be interesting to see though

as long as they weren't in the same country as me!!

ha lol damn right

This just shows the size it's fecking huge

I've not since anything of that size since I saw labs mum picking up her award for being Greggs biggest customer at the Edinburgh summer festival last year! she dropped a pasty after getting off stage and bent over to pick it up, everyone dived for their cameras cos they thought Red Rum had come back from the dead!!!

seriously though, it's like something prehistoric! if that ever did occur in the wild it wouldn't be able to catch much so you know what'd be on the menu then don't you!!
