Cleanspade 3,324
i think the first cross collie greyhound is the best for producing decent lurchers. and to me they have the real benefit of good weatherproof jackets. i also like a good beddy cross. but they can lack pace and hight in the first cross. as for dogs cant be to fast. i dissagree and have seen many a flying machine retired early due to being to fast for there own good. a good lurcher is a balanced animal produced by cross breeding. otherwise we would all be running greyhounds or longdogs. just my opinion Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
but having a flying machine knowing when and where he/she should open up is far better than having a slower dog that IF meets a situation where he needs that extra oomph, hes gonna be f****d..IMO anyway. just get that pup out on all diffrent land, mine seems fine on all type of land, when out just having a stroll there is a few times where you think "f****n slow down" but she knows what she doing as she slows down before you have chance to say lol, hope im not jinxing myself but shes turned out to be a sturdy dog..and on an open field shes like a bullet, but on ruffer ground, she does generally take her time Quote Link to post
