Years ago KP Nets used a different method, that they described as easier, I remember trying it, you use a plastic straw, or cotton bud cut I think at 2 inch this is your marker, I remember knitting a lot of hemp nets using this method, and I am still using them, don't know if they still sell this method, or if you could replace hemp with spun polly, as I think you only knotted the hemp once.

Maybe someone else has tried or heard of this method, sorry not to have more detail, but it was a long time ago.

Dont want to confuse you further, but if you go on youtube and type "how to make a purse net", there is a 40 min video of a geordie lad, talking through and demonstrating the whole process. I got a kit from agouti, and after a few feck ups, I got it using the video on pause. Made 6 nets so far, and got a rabbit on saturday with one of my nets, it's a good feeling! So stick at it mate, you wont be disappointed... All the best with it.
