Tod out for a month.!

Recommended Posts

Tod got hurt bad the other day 3pm, he ran into steel post. It realy hurt him, didnt see him hit it, but heard the cry , the noise went straight through me. . Got to him and i thought he broke his leg, but give couple mins then had feel it was his shoulder+ top of his leg. Come back from the Vets and the good news is it is badly bruised+tear shoulder muscle. No hard running for a month, then nice+steady when i do go working with him. The vet said if he hadnt been so powerful and big built he could have broken the leg by the shoulder, but his muscle mass stoped it. It is a shame as i was doing great with him, catching rabbits in the lamp, and would tackle any other quarry he saw when out. Iam very happy he is ok , but he is very full on+reckless when he is in the hunting mode, its his breeding i suppose , as the bullxs he came from are very full on dogs. When it happened him+Bryn were running round a old farm building , you get the odd fox or rabbit there, but most times you dont see nout. That day Bryn shot after rat i think , and Tod went flat out after him, and Bang :wallbash: .They go on this walk alot so they know the place well, Bryn as always seem to know when to slow a bit, but not Tod i have thought he wont make old bones  . Will have to try to keep a eye on him as best as i can.

thanks Glen +lads , yes plenty of rest ,then about 5 weeks he should be ok , but just take it easy with him, just few runs and see how he is then . He is trying to run a round in the garden the fecker, thats only because the vet give him a jab in the shoulder last night. I can see me getting loads of beef bones for the next 5 weeks lol
