Has had some training fun Chasing rags on String and Some Retrieving, Also Been Broken to Ferrets Looks promising.

Has Been Flea, Wormed and had First Jab, Second Due 14-10-11 has been Paid For.

Selling due to not getting on with older Dog and Not fair on Pup!.

Would Make Great working dog which is what i bought her for!

Cheers, its a real shame she loves the older dog but the older one is all protective of me and gets jealous so the youngester only comes out of her shell when shes on her own, and i dont want that for her!

Yeah it could be only thing is the older bitch is a spaniel and very good at what she dose and thrives off bein loyal, its like there both one man dogs, i mean i think they would make a great team as the spaniel is good at bushing and bolting them from hedge rows but hasnt got the speed where the lurcher would come into it own! But at the moment the spaniel is now thriving off negative attention and thats just going to be a bad influence on the pup.

Thanks yeah she dose seem a nice cross, as i was mainly going to use her for ferreting, alot of people have told me just to hold out a bit longer, and conviently they have behaved better today. Typical!

keep her mate, im sure they will all gel at some point.......my wheaten cross cant stand my youngest dog (mainly jealousy and attention seeking) but he just tollerates him and all is forgoten when they are out in the field.....pups eh.....who'd have em? lol

Cheers lads i think your right, i was mainly worried for the pup sake and her not coming out of her shell, but they have both just got to learn to get on, ill keep you updated on how shes getting on.

In my experience leave the dogs too it, obviously if the spaniel is being outwardly aggressive then ensure the pup is safe. Dogs will 9 times out of 10 not "attack" a young pup, harsh tellings off are part of being a pup and they learn from it. If your keeping 2 or more dogs, they will need to have a natural pecking order, the spaniel will be top dog and needs to assert that, it may change as the pup matures, but if the pup grows up knowing her place, it should prevent problems at a later date. Just ensure you get out with the pup on her own for training and one to one sessions, she'll bond with you and be a better worker for it. Best of luck.
