bull crosses

Recommended Posts

Are bull crosses prone to skin dissorders, my 18 month bitch has a skin problem she is losing her hair it started around her thighs and under her belly she has some red blotches on her skin where she lost the hair, the vet reckons its in her breeding but I have a full sister to her and there is no problem with her. Iv'e changed her food to a low protein in the hope this will make a difference. If any one had similar problems with this I would be gratefull for any infomation on how you sorted the problem.

Some bulls do carry skin problems, usually an allergy to something like food or maybe pollen it can be a number of things! My old Bull was allergic to Beef and Chicken which gave her rashes and ear infections. Some vets say it's genetic and some say it isn't but every allergic dog Iv known has either come from or produced allergic dogs. It's a case of trial and error trying to eliminate what the cause could be, try some hypo allergenic food and start washing/changing bedding every other day and look for signs of improvement.

If its just bald and not sore or unhealthy looking it may just be natural has the vet says.If you go to a Greyhound track you will see a lot of dogs with it. Some say its caused through the Greys having the friction massage but its not its just something they get,so it could be the Greyhound blood.

If mange which could be get some hibiscrub on it, 3-4 times a day!!

its good stuff that mate or try and get hold of some ivomectim if its mange or mites or anything like that ivomectim will clear it within a few weeks

It doesn't always work, tried it on a bull x bitch with Sarcoptic mange, did not work.
