help sending scope to simmons for mending

can anyone help me ive a top quality simmons scope[well meant to be top quality well price was lol] and some how left to right turret has snapped off dont know how either work men knocked gun over or girlfreind has but she`s adamant she has`nt an i tend to beleive her , anyway turrets no where to be seen and i want to know if i can send it back to simmons to see if they can mend it for me but im struggling to find anyone in uk to deal with it, the scope was bought from guns international at barnsley but the business has been sold on and new owners dont deal with simmons so im struggling tryed to contact them through internet an no luck can anyone on here help me i`d be very grateful for any info thanks in advance ,,, all the best old timer :thumbs:

i had no joy with the co. in blackpool and just hit a brickwall when trying to find a UK dealership for simmons when i visited the U.S.website they did not list the UK so the scope i wanted to have repaired under the simmons warranty is still with me boxed up but no address to send it to . if you get a result i would be gratefull if you let me have the information so i can have my scope fixed but if you don't get anyone in this country to do the job under warranty we should warn anyone who is thinking of buying simmons to make sure simmons will honuor the LIFETIME WARRANTY as this is a major factor to consider when you purchase any sort of goods . a.t.b. dave.

I had a scope fall apart the turret fell of .It was on a bsa lightning a gun with a lot of reciol.Went and bought a new scope.

have been doing abit of dectective work and i do believe that JJ Vickers are the people you need to talk to unit 9, 35 revenge road,lordsworth,kent 01634 201284 a mate who owns a gunshop said their reps were in last month trying to push simmons scopes.. atb paulus

hi` well ive been on phone to bino`s uk rep there told me simmons wont mend my scope cause it sounds like i or someone else has damaged it an the warranty wont cover it ... though i beleive it was faulty now because the turret is totally missing an theres no damage what so ever it looks like its just fallen off with out me noticing... the man at bino`s uk gave me a number for a feller at a company called optrep an he said he might be able to mend but i have to pay so by looks of things simmons scopes are a bad buy an there customer service stinks but im going to look further into it an ile keep people on here posted if i get any joy from simmons way things are going im going to be out of pocket bit gutted realy because i always thought simmons was a reputable company .... ile let you`s know how i get on and thanks paulus an everyone else for the info cheers lads :thumbs: ...

well the scopes gone to bushnell looks like theyve taken over simmons ile keep you posted wether it gets mended cheers peeps

no mate rung them they gave me another number to ring thats bushnell in surrey i think so i rung them they told me to ring jj vickers yet they had told me to ring the bushnell number so eventually they gave me an address to send scope to i will post the address up if you want me to so now im just waiting to see if they mend the scope... ive read some where on here i think that japan are making simmons scopes an they arent as good as the phillipino ones an mine was a phillipine scope so not sure on that side of things but will keep you`s posted as to whether my scope does or doesnt get mended thanks for the info and the intrest cheers

hi fella just out of intrest was it a private firm you got in to work in your house or was a company subcontracted to work there like a insurance comp. because have you not tried getting on to them as i used to work for a insurance building firm and 99.9 % of the time if a cust kicked off enough to the company carrying out the work and insurance provider over a damaged item they would replace it as they never got paid cos the customer has to give a code over on completion so they get paid so would do out to get of them even like buying new fridges etc. Hope that any use pal.

it werent really private as such it was henry boots an a long time had passed before i noticed gun were damaged as i werent using it as it was out of season so i could hardly start throwing blame because too much time had passed before i noticed any damage if you know what i mean pal

just to up date scope went back to bushnell they said they couldnt repair the scope and it was a faulty scope at the minute they have sent me a replacement wich is a bushnell scope when the one i sent back was a simmons scope and the one they have sent me is a shitty chinese made one they have had the audacity to tell me the one they have sent me is more expensive then the one i originally bought ... i am not happy an im still trying to resolve this matter with bushnell an i am not happy with the after sales service .. these scopes bushnell are putting there names on are cheap chinese shit there finish and the overall product is shit my advice is not to buy simmons or bushnell because if anything goes wrong with them the aftersales is shit..... if i ever get this matter resolved and bushnell redeem themselves i will let you people know but as it stands i am not happy with the service i have received..... please dont forget simmons scopes is now owned by bushnell and at the minute are a very bad buy :thumbdown:

surely you have consumer rights ?

if the product is not up to the job,then its faulty.which i believe is a consumer rights issue.may be worth looking in to

will you post the full address of the place you sent your scope as i want to post a one of to them for repair and we will see if they come up with the same service thanks dave.
