The one 8,577
Dont practice with the twine in your kit mate buy some cheapo stuff and use that till you have mastered it i think you have a knot slipping Quote Link to post
Col_c88 41
Yea av got some cheap stuff from maxwells...... how do i stop the not slipping then? just pulli it tighter? Quote Link to post
Leeview 792
Yea av got some cheap stuff from maxwells...... how do i stop the not slipping then? just pulli it tighter? Your other knots are OK so your not doing this slipping knot the same, your doing well to get to the 3rd row its usually the 2nd row after you have cast onto the ring Are you using a carrick bend knot? where you come up through the mesh, hold it with your thumb, throw a loop and then round the back of the mesh and up through the loop and then closing the knot(thats a standard knot) with a carrick bend when you get up to going through the loop(dont close it) but take the needle across the front and bring the needle up through the mesh you started on now close the knot and you will see it snaking round and down to knot itself its a lot easier to do than this sounds its almost self locking and tightens itself Keep at it and GOOD LUCK Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
jultaylor1972 2
This is how I learned to make nets, Dont expect to get it straight away, it takes time and practice...................Loads of practice. Does anyone near you make their own nets? It might be better for someone to sit with you while you make a net to let you know where your going wrong.
