nose on whippet crosses

got myself a half whippet qtr grey qtr saluki and to say im impressed with his nose is an understatement he is only 9 months and hasnt seen out but even now id trust his nose to find game how do other people find whippets and there crosses ?

Mine will mark rabbit buries, mark fox sets, bush rabbits, put deer out of coveys and find foxes on the moor.

She won't however flush or take feather due being broke to the racers

My whippet has a nose like a hound, will follow a line well, find game in any cover and mark to ground.

the old whippet i have will enter cover with terriers if game is found in there, mark anything to ground and will take a line on a fox, she has been a asset to all the young dogs i have had in the kennels

Ive dug to a first cross whippet / russell. Nout wrong with that ones nose!

my old mentor had whippet/beddies for 30 years. he loved them dogs. every dog i saw had a great nose,great little hunting up /ferreting dogs. they could find mark catch rabits no problem.they were only used in the day. quite a bit of feather were caught by these dogs.he is 70 now and still works dogs.
