taking the ferret out for its first time

im fairly new to the ferreting sport, been goin out a year or so now, but i have some new ferrets which are about 5 month old, is it too young to take out? if so what age shud it be? cheers

i took my 5 mth hob out last week no probs jill looks a bit young so will give it a few months yet really if you think there ready get em out

Take them out mate even if they don't bolt stuff they get used to being in the box,entering holes etc.

 

A young lad who comes with us as been bringing his for a few weeks now and yesterday found a perfect 3 holed warren for then to start in.They bolted 2 rabbits so a bonus for him,just try not to give them big deep warrens to start.

Take them out. I took 2 of my young jills out yesterday, as you might have seen on another post, they loved it and bolted plenty, either accidentally or with intent!
