Thanks MTT. I've always had a hob and a jill apart from one occassion where I had two hobs. At first they were OK bu then after a bit they used to fight all the time, I could never keep them together or I'd have a dead ferret on my hands. Nothing to do with the size of the court. Don't know if it's the case with all hobs or what? I must admit with mine it was always just one of them that started it, so maybe I just had a bad one? Quote Link to post
Bankzi 2
ive got two hobs, brothers and had them since 10wks. As they got older they fought more and the smaller one has really bad scrathes on its back just behind its neck. There now 5 months, i know they play rough but its quite bad, but yet when there out they hardly fight must be behind closed doors lol. Is there room to worry or is it just a case of whos boss? lksopener 105
If you are wanting to keep hobs together get them castrated. It's normally the only way to stop them fighting. It also doesnt effect their working abilities. Liam Quote Link to post

TOMO 28,298
always kept my hobs together,,, even in the summer,, although this year they had the ferret court to themselvs, normaly in summer there in a 6 foot cage,, and they squable somtimes, but it seemed far less in the court this summer. maybee due to the size and being able to get out of each others way 1 Quote Link to post
Col_c88 41
I had alot of problems with my 2 hobs fighting and was about to get 2 jill kits.. my plan was to have the 2 males live together and 2 females live together then put them all in the run during the day, well... i had to get them castrated.. took about 2 weeks but they stopped fighting... also lowered the smell.. not that it bothered me anyways.
