8shot 196 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Share Posted September 14, 2011 right my charger has give up the ghost...... and my local shop dont stock the one i use to use... i have 2 6v batterys. which are 10 amp each.... but these batters have been bridged. makin g it a 12.v 20amp ive bought 2 new chargers for it... and both have broke.... after 30 quid down the drain.. im seeking advice would a normal . car battery charger work???? or does anyone no where i can get a charger from...... atb Quote Link to post Share on other sites
watchman 256 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 the normal car chargers i used over the years eventualy shortened the battery lifes until they pretty much packed up,i told them in the motor parts shop and they recommended a charger for the sealed 12v 7ah batteries that i use,never had any problems since this is the one cost about £40 at the time Quote Link to post Share on other sites

oakey 57 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 Ive been using a deban charger for a while now never had any probs with it until recently but i have only been using it on short trips now i want longer trips i cant seem to get much into it . A mate of mine has told me today of a motorbike battery charger that trickle charges a 12v battery by boosting it up and down all the time charging then draining it .I will find out more tomorrow maybe see if i can borrow it with the view too buying one .
