Was out and sat for the first time this season, we had a great day but on two digs we had 4 rabbits both times backed up in stop ends, we just kept pulling them out!. this is the most ive come across on a dig. how many have you had?

Yes I have also had similar large numbers of bunnies in end of pipe, but they have always been on biggish warrens, and I only work 3 ferrets underground at any one time, and then tag replacements. I have often wondered if it is because they can move around a bit more, without having to imediatly bolt as a result of not enough ferrets for the network.

I went out myself yesterday afternoon with my boys, and although there were rabbits everywhere on top, it was very quiet underground, with rabbits running off into vegatation rather than diving for cover.

Memories of happy days, I had permission on land next to the Sea, the burys were not deep they were sand, most cases they were two spades down, I would net up, but was not bothered if they stuck up as you could dig in mins, most I had from a stop end was four.

Strange thing, I returned to this land years later, I lost it, as it had turned into a nature reserve, and I could not find this ground that had held a lot of rabbits, I was told later by the Warden, the Sea had claimed it back.
