secretagentmole 1,701
The most effective torture I ever heard about happened during the Falkland War, the Argies were told that our lads were being sent out without rations and they would eat any prisoners they took (this was to encourage the Argies to fight harder). Our brave boys got to hear about this and so when an Argie was captured and interrogated there was a full dinner setting without food in front of the person doing the interrogating. Total collapse of Argentinian captive. Then someone would bring in the interrogator's dinner when the questioning was over and all the information had been obtained! Apparently banging the knife and fork angrily on the table really had the Argies going...
scothunter 12,609
p.s - Scott, why is it ok for us and the yanks to be 'murdering filth' but not bin laden and his cronies? I mean we were well up for any murdering to be done as long as it wasn't us getting murdered right? i guess it was the magnitude in which they did it.even to this day when i watch that day,it fills me with sadness that ordinary people just going to work were killed either on these planes or in those towers, not to mention the cops and fireman wiped out,yes we could bounce from pillar to post for days jai, saying its there fault or its our fault, makes no diffence what happened that day was certainly not gonna go without a reaction.i wasnt for the war in iraq,i thought it was unjust, however afghanastan is just in my eyes, those c**ts over there from as early as the late 80s have been plotting and scheming attacks on the west.they hate out system and our way of life.pakistan another breeding ground of anti western hatred.i hate to say this but were long overdue for another attack.just hope whatever our securoty forces are doing i hope they get a result in stopping it.its way past the blaming stage now jai.there will and never can be reconcillation between the west ad those fanatics.if ever they get thier hands on a nuke, and it gets set of in this country, well it will certainly bring the shit personally to each of us..affecting everyone on this island personally.like to hear all your views then, when people are getting sick with radiation and all the rest of what comes with it.just saying like.

Caravan Monster 323
I was surprised by the contrast between the images of Afghanistan we are familiar with today, and how things were fifty years ago, when the country had been left alone by the rest of the world for a while. Afghanistan of the 50s- 60s

Afghanistan of the 50s- 60s I think the Taliban changed that more then foreign influence
